Red Panda (1)
Red Panda or the scientific name Ailurus fulgens is a kind of mammal in the order Carnivora. As the name implies, the Red Panda have fur thick brownish red in color and black-legged. His face is round white with brownish red line from eye to mouth.Long tail with a ring of twelve red and brown criss-cross-young. Tread feet covered by white fur, which is useful to keep the body warm and to walk on snow or ice surface.
This species was originally described to the world of knowledge in 1825. Red Panda taxonomic classification has long created controversy. Previously placed in the tribe of the Red Panda bear family Ursidae because it has similarities with beruangPanda, both have five fingers with an extra finger next five fingers. Extra finger is a modified wrist bone. Red pandas are also placed in a single tribe Ailuridae. But now this species is placed in sukuProcyonidae, its resemblance to species of animals in the raccoon family. Red Panda is the only species in single genus subsuku Ailurinae and Ailurus.
Regional distribution of the Red Panda is in Central Asia. This species is found in the forest Himalayas, Bhutan, People's Republic of China, India, Laos, Myanmar and Nepal.Red Panda is active in the morning and dusk. In the afternoon, they were sleeping and resting on a branch. Although carnivores have digestive systems, like Red Panda has a habit of herbivorous animals. Its main food is bamboo, and including various fruits, roots, grass, berries and other vegetation. For extra nutrition, Red Panda also eat eggs, young birds, insects and small animals.Red pandas are usually female panda gave birth to two kittens. Panda kids was blind at birth, and began to look after three weeks of age. The adult male has no role in child rearing pandas. For school I had to pick a rare or endangered animal for a project and when I first saw Red Pandas my heart nearly melted. I really liked your website it was very helpful!
